Festivitie­s have returned to our lives in the form of new launches where most of us get a chance to relook at our tech wardrobe and find a suitable tech-in partner for our tech sessions to accompany us in our daily tasks, gaming, texting, video and audio content consumptio­n.

This is the best time of the year when major tech companies announce their flagship smartphone­s in order to cash in on the festivitie­s. Despite GDP figure of April-june quarter going down to 5 per cent, we expect a reasonable, healthy quarter for the mobile industry which has been a champion sector in today’s India. There have been numerous launches that had happened till date but, we bring some of the standout smartphone­s and companies to watch out for. Predominan­tly, Apple has moved its ace in the market in the form of iphone 11 Pro and Max while extending its smart watch series to the next level. The trillion dollar company also came with streaming services to begin with which might be challenge for the likes of Amazon and Netflix. Stay active, choose wisely and celebrate happiness. The Cupertino-based iconic brand, Apple, introduced iphone 11 Pro and iphone 11 Pro Max with new Super Retina XDR display and A13 Bionic chip. For the first time in history Apple has used triple-camera system with an Ultra Wide, Wide and Telephoto camera.

iphone 11 Pro and iphone 11 Pro Max will be available in 64GB, 256GB and 512GB models in midnight green, space gray, silver and gold starting at Rs 99,900 and Rs 109,900 respective­ly. iphone 11 Pro and iphone 11 Pro Max come in four finishes midnight green.

iphone 11 Pro and iphone 11 Pro Max have a textured matte glass back and polished stainless steel band, and come in four stunning finishes including a beautiful new midnight green. They feature the toughest glass ever in a smartphone and are rated IP68 for water resistance up to 4 meters for up to 30 minutes.

The new Super Retina XDR display, a custom-designed OLED, provides users an immersive HDR viewing experience for movies and other high-definition content with up to 1,200 nits brightness.

Apart from these two smartphone­s, Apple did bring iphone 11 at Rs 64,990 in six new colors including purple, green, yellow, black, white and red.

The South Korean major extended its ROG Phone to the next level by bringing ROG Phone II targeted towards games and gamers having high end specificat­ions such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset and a mammoth 6,000mah battery. Available at Rs 37,999 for the 8GB version, the ROG Phone II is for the hardcore gamers and for those who cherish high-end specificat­ions.

ROG Phone II also features the world’s first 120Hz/1ms 10-bit HDR 6.59-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, which offers a Delta-e <1 color accuracy and 240 Hz touch response for a great visual experience having higher refresh rate and frame per second.

It is powered by the massive 6,000mah battery and two side-charging ports, supported with 30W ROG Hypercharg­e technology.

ROG Phone II is designed for fully immersive gaming, with its unique landscape-oriented design incorporat­ing upgraded Airtrigger II ultrasonic sensors, Dual Surroundin­g Vibration technology, and powerful front-facing stereo speakers with DTS-X Ultra. Brand-new accessorie­s include the Twinview Dock II for immersive dual-screen gaming, and the multi-configurat­ion ROG Kunai Gamepad for the ultimate console-like gaming experience.
