Elegant, Exquisite but, Price Matters

OPPO has always been experimental in its approach when it comes to launching smartphones as it has no specific price segment where it stresses a lot. We are going to provide an insight about the recently launched OPPO Find X2 in India which will be competing against the likes of Oneplus 8 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S10 and iphone 11. The new OPPO Find X2 is the upgraded version of the previously launched OPPO Find X which surprised everyone with its motorized camera module. But the new OPPO Find X2 does not possess such a unique camera module to surprise rather it has some other ways of surprising the users which we will be telling in this review.

Design

The new Find X2 in terms of looks is quite simple looking with a unicolor glossy body but it does possess that aesthetic appeal to make it look appealing especially the way its curved screen molds itself with the rest of the body. The phone is quite comfortable to hold and operate despite its long body appearance. The phone has an aluminum frame running across the body which matches the color of the rear side. The rear side holds just the vertically placed camera sensors in a frame followed by an LED flash. The front fascia of the phone has a high-end thin bezel curved edged Super AMOLED screen with a punch hole. OPPO has also fitted quite smartly a loudspeaker just above the screen which also acts as an earpiece. The placement of the buttons is usual as we have seen in every OPPO phone that is the volume rockers are placed on the left side and the power button is placed towards the right side of the phone. Down on the bottom is where OPPO placed the SIM card slot with no extra slot for the microsd card. Right next to it is the primary mic pinhole and the USB-C port is in the middle, while the primary loudspeaker is behind a three-slot grille to the right. The fingerprint is on display which has a very quick response time. We also tested the face unlock feature which worked very well in every condition.

Display

The display of the new OPPO Find X2 is one of the main highlights of the phone which surely is very impressive. The display of the OPPO Find X2 is a 6.7-inch AMOLED with a 1440x3168px resolution in a 19.8:9 aspect ratio. Space is no issue as one can perform any task quite comfortably be it gaming or watching videos. The new Find X2 is equipped with a smart algorithm that automatically boosts the quality of the videos when watched. It is also capable of a refresh rate of 120Hz, so you can simultaneously set both the resolution and the refresh rate at the maximum level. The colors produced on the screen are very bright and punchy. The display on the Oppo Find X2 is an HDR10+ compliant as well to give you high definition quality videos. OPPO Find X2 is IP54 rated meaning it is not completely waterproof but can resist dust and some splashes to some extent. But to be frank IP68 rating would have been more preferably better in such high flagship phone.

Platform

The Find X2 runs Android 10 with Oppo’s latest Coloros 7.1 which is a minor update over the 7.0 release.
