Design and Comfort

The earbuds are light weight and sport a kidney-shaped design but are narrow at the bottom where you plug it in the ear. There is a touchscreen panel having Boult logo located on them. The top of the logo consists of an LED indicator which blinks in red and blue to show different functions. Each of the earpieces weighs 7.5gm and gently slides inside the ear as that portion is a bit pointed. The rubberized eartips are soft and fit perfectly in ears. If there’s any difficulty with the fit, you have two extra pairs of adjustable eartips in the box. The IPX7 rating of the earbuds ensures you won’t have to worry about them getting damaged if they are exposed to the rain or get splashed with water.

Coming to the charging case, it weighs 55gm, looks decent and is robustly built. The case gives you a premium feel from outside. There’s an indicator at the front having four LEDS that indicate the charging status of the device. Having a magnet fitted inside, the charging case holds the earbuds firmly. There’s a USB port to charge the device on the back side. Overall, it’s an ideal headset for sweating it out at the gym.

Functionalities

The earbuds automatically pair with your phone as soon as you take them out of the case. There is no need to manually pair to your device each time. The Boult Audio Truebuds come with one-touch controls and allow you to control playback, answer calls, and invoke voice assistance via touch gestures. For music, single tap to play/pause, double tap on the right earbud to play the next song and similarly double tap on the left to play the previous track. For calls, single tap any earbud to receive/decline the call. And for volume, press and hold the right earbud’s panel for almost 5 seconds to raise the volume slowly, similarly press and hold on the left earbud for 5 seconds to lower the volume. The voice assistant function lets you access Siri/ Google Assistant effortlessly. It must be noted that not many true wireless earbuds in this affordable range come with touch controls.

Performance

These true wireless earphones offer an amazing audio quality, thanks to their 6mm drivers. While highs and lows are up to the mark, it gives you a soothing sound when the volume is full. The device also comes with HD bass which will give you a wonderful listening experience. With ultra-low latency, it’ll also give you a perfect gaming experience. Having the Passive Noise Canceling feature, the earbuds block out most of surrounding noises. What’s more, they can also be used as monopods to enjoy music and take calls, when you are not listening to both earbuds in stereo mode.

Battery and Connectivity

The earbuds offer up to eight hours of playback on a single charge with additional two

full charges from the case, totaling to up to 24 hours of playback. While the whole case takes nearly two hours to charge fully via USB Type-c charging port, each bud can be charged totally within the case within 30 minutes approximately. In terms of connectivity, they support Bluetooth 5.0, having a transmission distance of 10m and beyond that the audio starts breaking.
