HTC Desire 20 Pro and Wildfire E2

Expanding its Desire series, HTC has launched the Desire 20 Pro in Europe and the smartphone is already up for pre-order in the region.

The device is already on sale in the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, and the Netherlands through the company’s website. The smartphone is priced at €279 and will start shipping on August 24.

The HTC Desire Pro 20 comes in two colour options -- Smoky Black and Pretty Blue.

The smartphone comes with a 6.8-inch full HD+ display with 1080x2340 pixel resolution and 19:5:9 aspect ratio.

The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with Adreno 610 GPU.

HTC Desire Pro 20 runs Android 10 operating system and packs 6GB of RAM. The device offers 128GB internal storage which can be expanded further via microsd card. The dual SIM smartphone comes equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

BBk-owned smartphone maker iqoo has launched iqoo 5 series 5G in its home country China. The series consists of two smartphones — iqoo 5 Pro and iqoo 5. The iqoo 5 Pro comes in two storage and RAM variants of 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB.

While the former is priced at CNY 4,998 (roughly Rs 53,500), the latter is priced at CNY 5,498 (roughly Rs 59,000).

The company has also launched a special BMW Edition of the iqoo 5 Pro that will be available in China as a limited edition.

As for the iqoo 5, there are three storage and RAM variants of the device offering 8GB+128GB and 12GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB that cost CNY 3,998 (approximately Rs 43,000), CNY 4,298 (approximately Rs 46,000) and CNY 4,598 (approximately Rs 49,000) respectively. This handset will be available starting June 12.

The iqoo 5 Pro Pro offers a 6.5-inch AMOLED curved FHD+ display (23760x1080p resolution) with 120Hz refresh rate. The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8865 SOC coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

For imaging duties, the iqoo 5 Pro has a triple-camera setup. This includes a 50MP sensor with f/1.85 aperture, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and an 8MP periscope sensor with up to 60x optical zoom. On the front, there is a 16MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

Backed by a 4000mah battery, the handset offers 120W fast charge support and runs iqoo UI 1.5 based on Android 10.
