Can you provide a brief overview of your company, what Bittitan does and the market to which it caters? Who are your end customers? Bittitan is a software company that also specializes in managed cloud services. We help IT service professionals successfully deploy and manage cloud technologies through automation with our cloud migration tool, Migrationwiz.

This is our 100 per cent Saas solution for mailbox, document, public-folder and Microsoft Teams migrations.

Since 2009, Bittitan has moved more than 19 million users to the cloud for 43,000 customers in 187 countries. We support leading cloud ecosystems including Microsoft, Google and Dropbox. We are a global company with offices in

Seattle and Singapore. As part of our Asia Pacific (APAC) operations, we have an inregion team focused on meeting customer needs in India.

Our customers are managed service providers and IT professionals whose roles are generally managers or directors of IT operations. Our customers employ our solutions to help end-user companies

adopt cloud technologies and services.

What is Bittitan’s presence like in India? What offerings do you have? Bittitan currently has a presence in the APAC region, though we’re looking to broaden our presence in India by expanding our partner relationships and increasing awareness for Migrationwiz. Our Singapore office serves as our APAC hub and provides in-region support for India and other Asia Pacific countries. This office provides support locally for sales, marketing, product development and support.

Do you see these offerings expanding or changing in the future? We want to help more organizations in India find success in the cloud and drive business growth. Our solutions employ automation for fast and scalable migration projects that minimize downtime and eliminate errors. Migrationwiz scales to the needs of small businesses, midsized businesses and large enterprise organizations alike.

In what ways does Bittitan help businesses most with their migration projects and moving to the cloud? By employing automation, Migrationwiz enables MSPS and IT professionals to conduct a fast and seamless cloud migration for their clients. Our migration tool can be leveraged for a host of migrations – including email, documents, public folders, PST files and Microsoft Teams – across a wide range of sources and destinations. Whether we need to move 40 seats or 40,000, Migrationwiz is equipped to quickly migrate data to the new environment at scale – no installations or certifications required. Our global support team is available 24/7 to solve any challenges that arise.

Can you speak on how cloud migration factors into telecommunications and why this is important? What market opportunities exist around cloud migration? Sure. The benefits of the cloud extend to numerous industries, such as telecommunications. Its services can be leveraged for an increasing number of business operations. These include cloud-based communication services, which can provide unparalleled cutting-edge communication offerings for enhanced global interaction. Cloud-based services can enable better control, access and efficiency with calling, messaging and data, as well as increased flexibility and reduced cost by eliminating maintenance fees.

There is a tremendous opportunity when it comes to the cloud, be it for telecommunications or otherwise. The APAC region is experiencing dramatic growth, and the market is expected to reach $288 billion in the next five years. The cloud enables businesses to optimize operations for increased efficiency, strengthen security protections and improve cost management. What businesses wouldn’t want these benefits?

Why should businesses in India be thinking about cloud migration now? Prior to joining Bittitan, I remember reading about the cloud and how Australia, India and other countries in the APAC region are so far behind the rest of the world regarding cloud adoption. As someone who lives in Australia, I was quite shocked.

After joining Bittitan, I learned there’s much more to cloud adoption that we need to know in Australia and the APAC region. In more than 100 site visits that I did during my first year with Bittitan, companies indicated that they want to move to the cloud but didn’t believe they were ready to do so. But since the pandemic, we needed to move companies to the cloud quickly to enable remote work and business continuity, maintain security protections and improve cost management. We’re continuing to assist companies with their move to a cloud-enabled workforce, setting them up for success now and well into the future.

The cloud allows all these things to happen. Bittitan can provide the tools that enable companies to get to the cloud swiftly and securely while also effectively managing costs.

What differentiates Bittitan from other cloud migration service providers? Why should service providers turn to you and your solutions? What separates Bittitan is that we provide the migration tool for our partners to leverage and build their professional services around, which enables them to grow their businesses.

Bittitan doesn’t get involved in professional services, which keeps us from directly competing with our partners. We prioritize our partner relationships. Instead of selling our products directly to the end-user, we work with our partners to help them be successful with their clients. In contrast, some of our competitors focus on professional services and bundle their migration tool with those services.

Not only are we enabling partners to seamlessly service their customers, but our solutions are also 100 per cent Saasbased. This allows our partners to leverage these solutions for remote migrations at any time and from anywhere to service their customers, no matter where they’re located. During this pandemic, Saasbased tools have been critical for business continuity.

Anything else you’d like to add that we didn’t address? Working in the cloud space is truly exciting, as it provides tremendous opportunity. The cloud industry is poised for significant growth, and companies need to be cloud-ready right now.

As a tech company, Bittitan is primed for growth and positioned to serve as a critical component of cloud adoption as we help businesses move to the cloud and maintain business continuity. Markets that are behind will eventually need to catch up to ensure they are competitive in the market, translating to growth within the industry. We want to work with those businesses to ensure they’re not caught flat-footed. I’m excited to watch the cloud continue to grow and be a part of that growth opportunity. ■
