Oppo partners with Reliance India to conduct 5G SA trial test in India

there have been a number of 5g trials over the past few weeks in metropolitan cities in India. Most of these trials were conducted for the sub-6ghz networks but managed to cross the 1gbps threshold due to the lack of network congestion. Now, Oppo India has partnered with Reliance Jio to

field test the Jio’s sa (standalone) 5g networks in its test labs. Notably, the 5gready Oppo Reno 6 series of smartphones from the Chinese tech giant have been chosen due to their ability to interface with a wide variety of 5g networks. the trial had the device complete a Whatsapp video call over a 5g network. For those oblivious, Nsa networks use the existing 4g infrastructure to boost 5g connectivity.
