Google rolls out security update for chrome
google is rolling out a new update with security fixes for Chrome, the world’s most popular Internet browser. the update also includes a fix of the zero-day exploit (a security flaw that is (mis)used by hackers without the company’s knowledge) in its V8 Javascript engine. the company says that the stable channel has been updated to 91.0.4472.164 for Mac, Windows and
Linux which will roll out over the coming days/weeks. among other enhancements, the company aim to make Internet browsing safer for users. the zero-day exploit, which is currently being fixed, is apparently still being exploited and was first spotted by an anonymous researcher on July 12. google acknowledged the exploit’s existence and said in a blog post, “google is aware of reports that an exploit for CVE-202130563 exists in the wild”.
