Get a close look at new smartphones now in the market

Smartphone brand Tecno has launched POVA 2 in India at a starting price of Rs 10,999 for the base variant. This includes 4GB RAM and a 64GB storage capacity. There is a 6GB RAM option with 128GB storage which will retail for Rs 12,999. The new addition to the POVA series of affordable smartphones by Tecno, at its price, aims to offer smooth processing along with ample power backup to users.

The Tecno POVA 2 sports a 6.90-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2460 pixels. It has a 2GHZ octa-core Mediatek Helio G85 processor and comes with an in-built Hyper Engine gaming technology and a Mali-g52 GPU. The smartphone runs HIOS is based on Android 11 and is backed by a massive 7,000mah battery. Talking about connectivity features, the phone supports Wi-fi, GPS, USB OTG, USB Type-c, FM radio, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Tecno POVA 2 is available in three colors – Dazzle black, Polar Silver, and Energy Blue.

Coming to its cameras, Tecno POVA 2 has a quadcamera setup at the back that includes a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter and dual front flash. In addition, the camera supports Face Unlock 2.0 as a biometric authentication set up to unlock the phone. G-sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, compass/ magnetometer, Gyroscope sensor is also given in this device.
