Xiaomi dropping ‘Mi’ branding from future products

Xiaomi is dropping the ‘mi’ branding from its future products and will simply use ‘Xiaomi’, according to an online report. the report adds that the change in branding has kicked off with the company’s recently launched smartphone – mix 4. earlier its name was mi mix 4. Other phones in this series have been launched as mi mix 3 and mi mix 2. According to XDA Developers, there will be no mi branding with any of the company’s upcoming products, although the company’s upcoming tabs are being named mi pad 5 and mi pad 5 pro. the mi branding has been in existence for about 10 years now. recently, a Counterpoint report said that Xiaomi has become the world’s number 1 smartphone brand in June 2021. Its sales have increased by 26 percent compared to may and its share in the global smartphone market has increased to 17.1 percent.
