Xiaomi launches its first-ever pair of smart glasses

After Facebook announced its launch of smart glasses with Ray-ban, Xiaomi has followed suit and launched its own smart glasses, called the Xiaomi Smart Glasses, with an aim to compete with the likes of Google, Snapchat, Lenovo, and Facebook. The wearable can combine imaging system with sensors into a simple design, along with a Microled optical wavelength technology. The glasses will be able to display messages and notifications, make calls, navigate, capture pictures, and even translate texts right through glasses. In addition, the glasses also have indicator lights that indicate that a 5-megapixel camera is being used. The company has yet to announce the launch date and price of their new product. The Xiaomi Smart Glasses is powered by a quad-core ARM processor and packs a battery, Wi-fi/ Bluetooth modules, and touchpad, among others. It runs on Android operating system.
