Realme emerges as the 4th largest Chinese smartphone brand

Realme, on September 22, held a product launch conference, in which it announced a new smartphone – GT Neo 2. During the event, the company also revealed that it had become the 4th largest smartphone brand from China and has even managed to reach the 6th spot in the global rankings, right behind Oppo at number 4 and Vivo at number 5. Realme, in Q2 2021, ranked first in the Philippine­s and Bangladesh, fourth in India, and fifth in Europe. During this same period, the company even managed to record a sales increase of a massive 1,006% year on year in the Chinese market. This made it the fastest-growing smartphone maker in the first half of the year. Realme had a meteoric rise – it got its start in 2018, quickly broke into the Top 10 in 2019, and is now knocking on the door of the Top 5 global smartphone brands.
