Redmi 10 Prime
After unveiling five Redmi Note 10 series devices, Xiaomi India launched its first number series device in the Redmi 10 lineup – Redmi 10 Prime. It is the successor to the Redmi 9 Prime and claims to have a lot of improvements over its predecessor. The smartphone is available in three color options - Astral White, Biforest White, and Phantom Black.
The Redmi 10 Prime carries the family look and sports a big 6.5-inch full-hd+ display with 90Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by Mediatek Helio G88 SOC paired with ARM Mali-g52 MC2 GPU. That is accompanied by 4GB or 6GB of RAM with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage and can be expanded up to up to 512GB via a microsd card. It runs MIUI 12.5 on top of Android 11. The Redmi 10 Prime packs in a 6000mah battery, 18W fast charging and 9W reverse charging.
In terms of optics, the Redmi 10 Prime sports a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There’s another 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The newly launched smartphone seems to be a slightly reworked version of the Redmi 10 that was launched globally last month.
Coming to the pricing and availability, the newly launched Redmi 10 Prime’s price in India starts at Rs 12,499 for the 4GB + 64GB storage variant. The 6GB + 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 14,499. The smartphone will be available to purchase via Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, Mi Studios, and major retail outlets across the country. ■
