Xiaomi introduces MIUI 13

-

Xiaomi has announced the latest version of custom operating system MIUI – called MIUI 13 and is based on Android 12. It builds on the existing MIUI 12.5 which powers several Xiaomi devices in China, India and other markets. The company released the MIUI 13 during an online event in China. MIUI 13 will focus more on security and privacy enhancements, the company said during its launch event. It comes with an all new Misans font for Xiaomi phones and improved security and privacy features. Xiaomi has also announced MIUI 13 Pad for its tablets. While one may expect wholesome changes, MIUI 13 appears to be an incremental update on MIUI 12.5 Enhanced, with Xiaomi mostly prioritizing improved performance, perhaps at the expense of headline-worthy features. However, that doesn’t mean MIUI 13 comes without new visual tweaks and features. It debuts Face Verification Protection, Privacy Watermarking, and Electronic Fraud Protection, with Privacy Watermarking, in particular, standing out as perhaps the most useful of the bunch.
