Honor is has just launched its two new flagship models- Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro where it held a massive launch event in China for two days so that users could get a hands on experience and get a hint on what all they can expect from both handsets.

As every gadget savvy individual would be aware, 2022 has been an excellent year for the tech field as some of the biggest tech giants like Apple and Google have come out with iphone 14 series and Pixel 7 series, respective­ly, while the likes of Samsung, Vivo, Infinix, OPPO, too have richly contribute­d with their own devices.

In the midst of it all, Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro is an added feather to the overcrowde­d cap as 2022 draws to a close, which may be why the Chinese smartphone manufactur­er wants to add its own contributi­on to the slew of devices launched by its other tech rivals in quick succession.

Honor 80 Key Specifics

To begin with, Honor 80 comes with a 6.67 inch OLED Display, along with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2400×1080 pixel resolution that will be powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 782G chipset, which serves as the successor for SD 778G+ SOC.

Then you have the 10-bit panel that features a centered pill shaped cutout that is found directly below the ear speaker, where you also find a 50MP selfie camera and a 2MP depth module, and a single 32MP selfie cam with a punch hole cutout in the middle. Honor 80 Pro too comes with a 6.67 inch OLD display likes its counterpar­t and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset that is an under-locked version with prime Cortex- X2 core that runs at 3.0GHZ, along with a three Cortex-a710 Gold cores that are capped at 2.5GHZ.

Coming to camera, both models share the same 160MP primary camera with a 1/1.56 inch image sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, along with a revamped engine that the company has promised with improved scene optimizati­ons, upgraded AI RAW algorithms, along with advanced controls like AI Vlog mode for hardcore vloggers.

Honor 80 Pro gets a 50MP ultra module, along with a third 2MP depth helper found at the back, while Honor 80 is rather less capable than 80 Pro in this regard with an 8MP ultra-wide but the same 2MP depth helper module at the back.

Both Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro boot on Android 12 based Magicos 7, along with a strong battery capacity of 4,800mah that comes with 66W wired fast charging support and four colour options- Pink, Black, Blue, and Green.

Price Rate

Honor 80 comes with a starting price of CNY 2,699 ($377) for the 8/256GB trim version and CNY 3,299 ($460) for the 12/512GB version, which is quite relatable by today’s standards considerin­g users’ high expectatio­ns.

Honor 80 Pro comes with a starting price of CNY 3,499 ($490) for the 8/256GB trim version and CNY 4,099 ($573) for the 12/512GB version, which is again understand­able because it seems to be a little more upgraded.

Conclusion

Pre-orders for both Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro have started in China, while open sales are going to start from December 9, 2022.n
