Louis Berger bags Metro-4 con­tract in Mum­bai

Louis Berger, a part of DB Engi­neer­ing-led con­sor­tium and an US-based firm’s Indian unit, has bagged a con­tract for project and con­struc­tion man­age­ment ser­vices for the Metro-4 (Wadala-Thane-Kasar­va­davli) cor­ri­dor. As part of the con­sor­tium that includes DB Engi­neer­ing and Hill In­ter­na­tional, Louis Berger will pre­pare, pack­age and fi­nal­ize ten­der doc­u­ments for sys­tem con­tracts. The 32.32-km-long metro will con­nect Wadala in cen­tral Mum­bai and the neigh­bor­ing Thane district via the Eastern Ex­press high­way.

Kochi metro floats ten­ders for Pet­tah-SN metro stretch

Kochi Metro Rail Lim­ited (KMRL) is all set to start the con­struc­tion of its first metro line, with the agency invit­ing ten­ders from de­sign con­sul­tants for the 1.50-km Pet­tahSN Junc­tion (Thripunithura) metro stretch.

TATA-CHEC wins ₹1,048-cr Wadala-Kasara­davali metro con­tract

The Joint Ven­ture of TATA Projects Lim­ited and China Har­bour Engi­neer­ing Com­pany (TPLCHEC) have se­cured a let­ter of award (LoA) for the con­struc­tion of two pack­ages of the Mum­bai Metro El­e­vated Line 4. For the pack­ages, which lie on the line ex­tend­ing between Wadala & Kasara­davali, the com­bined in­vest­ment for both pack­ages is ₹1,048 crore and re­quires the con­trac­tor to de­sign and con­struct 14 el­e­vated sta­tions with a viaduct of 12.5 km to im­prove con­nec­tiv­ity with Thane.

RIn­fra wins ₹774-cr Jimidipeta-Got­lam rail line con­tract

Re­liance In­fra­struc­ture, a renowned in­fra builder, has re­cently re­ceived the Let­ter of Award (LOA) from Rail Vikas Nigam Lim­ited (RVNL) for its maiden rail­way project worth ₹774 crore for the con­struc­tion of third rail line between Jimidipeta and Got­lam on East Coast Rail­way on EPC model. The 105 km-long line will run in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.

DFCCIL awards ₹2,864-cr con­tract to L&T

Re­cently, the Ded­i­cated Freight Cor­ri­dor Cor­po­ra­tion of In­dia Ltd. (DFCCIL) has awarded ₹2,864-crore con­tract to Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to con­struct 222 km route of a sin­gle-track cor­ri­dor from Khurja to Pilkhani in Ut­tar Pradesh. The ded­i­cated freight cor­ri­dors project will be funded by World Bank (WB). Khurja to Pilkhani route is a part of the 1,856 km Eastern Cor­ri­dor pro­posed between Lud­hi­ana (Pun­jab) and Dankuni (West Ben­gal).

MMRDA un­veils ₹3,600cr Mira-Road-Bhayan­der metro cor­ri­dor

The bid­ding process for the con­struc­tion of a Metro cor­ri­dor in Mira-Road and Bhayan­der con­nect­ing with Dahisar is all set to start very shortly. The 9-km-long Dahisar check­naka Bhayan­der Metro cor­ri­dor known as Metro-10 is be­ing con­structed by the Mum­bai Met­ro­pol­i­tan Re­gion De­vel­op­ment Author­ity (MMRDA) at an es­ti­mated cost of ₹3,600 crore, of­fi­cial sources said.

Delhi clears three more metro rail cor­ri­dors

In a move to fast track DMRC‘s Phase-IV project, the Delhi govern­ment has re­cently cleared three of the six pro­posed cor­ri­dors in­clud­ing Janakpuri West-R K Ashram (28.92 km), Mukund­pur-Mau­jpur (12.54 km) and La­j­pat Na­gar-Saket G Block (7.96 km). These lines will touch areas, in­clud­ing Bu­rari, Ya­muna Vi­har, Paschim Vi­har, Ro­hini East, Mukarba Chowk and An­drews Ganj, Trans­port Min­is­ter Kailash Gahlot said.

Haryana steers clears ₹350-cr el­e­vated rail line

In a first of its kind rail project in the coun­try, Haryana and Indian Rail­ways have re­cently launched In­dia‘s first ever el­e­vated rail­way line in Ro­htak at an in­vest­ment of ₹350 crore. The project, which is ex­pected to be com­pleted in the next 18 months, is the new el­e­vated rail­way track end­ing the ma­jor prob­lem of traf­fic jams across Ro­htak city.

Haryana has­tens 400-km rail projects across state

The Haryana govern­ment re­cently an­nounced a new joint ven­ture com­pany with the min­istry of rail­ways in the name of Haryana Rail In­fra­struc­ture De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion Lim­ited (HRIDC) for lay­ing about 370-km of rail track across the state.

IRSDC in­vites bids to re­build ₹656-cr sta­tions

The Indian Rail­way Sta­tions De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion Ltd (IRSDC) has in­vited pro­pos­als to rede­velop three rail­way sta­tions—one in Chandi­garh and two in New Delhi—at a cost of ₹656 crore as part of the govern­ment‘s $1 tril­lion sta­tion mod­ern­iza­tion drive. The no­dal agency for the pro­gram in a state­ment said that the work at the Chandi­garh sta­tion will in­volve ₹140 crore in­vest­ment and be car­ried in two years; the sta­tions at Bi­jwasan and Anand Vi­har in New Delhi cost­ing ₹310 crore and ₹206 crore, re­spec­tively.

MRVC launches ₹880-cr sta­tion up­grade

The Mum­bai Rail Vikas Cor­po­ra­tion (MRVC) in an at­tempt to de­con­gest sta­tions for smooth pas­sen­ger move­ment across 19 sta­tions on the sub­ur­ban rail net­work be­ing up­graded at an in­vest­ment of ₹880 crore. These sta­tions will be re­designed for seam­less pas­sen­ger move­ment as part of the sta­tion improvement project.

NBCC starts ₹1,580-cr re­con­struc­tion of sta­tion

The NBCC, which has re­cently se­cured the rail­way sta­tion re­de­vel­op­ment project in Luc­know at an in­vest­ment of ₹1,580 crore, has re­cently started the con­struc­tion work of the Gomti Na­gar & Charbagh Rail­way Sta­tions at Luc­know. The con­struc­tion cost of Phase 1 is ap­prox. ₹374 crore and ₹1206 crore for Gomti Na­gar and Charbagh re­spec­tively.

Air­port Metro gets ₹310-cr ex­ten­sion to Dwarka

To con­nect the up­com­ing Ex­hi­bi­tion cum Con­ven­tion Cen­tre (ECC) in Dwarka Sec­tor 25, DMRC has started ex­tend­ing the high-speed Air­port Ex­press Line deeper into Dwarka with the con­struc­tion work of an un­der­ground stretch at an in­vest­ment of ₹310 crore set to start very shortly. The metro cor­ri­dor, which cur­rently run­ning between New Delhi metro sta­tion and Dwarka Sec­tor 21, is be­ing ex­tended up to the Con­ven­tion Cen­tre. The length of the pro­posed ex­ten­sion is 1.7km with stan­dard gauge, DMRC, spokesper­son said.

Haryana launches ₹125 cr hous­ing projects

The Haryana Hous­ing Board (HHB) has re­cently launched the con­struc­tion work on the three hous­ing so­ci­eties in Sec­tor 31, Panchkula, un­der the Prime Min­is­ter Awas Yo­jna for build­ing 711 flats to be handed over to peo­ple who have ap­plied for hous­ing units un­der the scheme. The project will be com­pleted by 2022 and en­tailed an in­vest­ment worth Rs 125 crore, sec­re­tary of HSB, Rand­hir Singh, said.

Sobha sharpens ₹500 cr hous­ing plan in Gu­jarat

Sobha De­vel­op­ers has re­cently said that it will in­vest ₹500 crore on a hous­ing project in the state and in­vest­ment will be made in res­i­den­tial de­vel­op­ment in Gu­jarat In­ter­na­tional Fi­nance Tec-City (GIFT City), chair­man Ravi Menon, said, claim­ing that the Ban­ga­lore-based firm plans to build nearly 1,000 apart­ments in the GIFT City which is spread over 886 acres.

Em­bassy Group un­veils ₹2,000 cr project

Em­bassy Group is all set to launch 6 mil­lion sq ft com­mer­cial space re­alty project at Em­bassy TechVil­lage in Ben­galuru at an in­vest­ment of ₹2,000 crore. The project in ques­tion is the next phase of con­struc­tion of the IT Park, en­com­pass­ing a de­vel­op­ment area of 12 mil­lion sq.ft. The com­pany has al­ready com­pleted nearly 4.5 mil­lion sq.ft. de­vel­op­ment and will be fin­ish­ing 1.5 mil­lion sq.ft. more by this year end, tak­ing the to­tal de­vel­op­ment to 6 mil­lion sq.ft.

NBCC un­folds ₹10,000 cr hous­ing plan

The project man­age­ment con­sul­tancy com­pany NBCC is plan­ning to build over 1 lakh af­ford­able houses on its own land parcels, plots owned by the govern­ment and pub­lic sec­tor un­der­tak­ings, said Chair­man, Anoop Ku­mar Mit­tal, claim­ing that it is look­ing to build these houses over the next five years to sup­port the govern­ment’s stated ob­jec­tive of Hous­ing for All by 2022. These projects en­tailed a whop­ping in­vest­ment worth ₹10,000 crore and score of them would start this year it­self.

Unity Group un­veils ₹3,000 cr re­alty ven­ture

The NCR-based re­alty firm, Unity Group, in a re­cent move has de­cided to in­vest about ₹3,000 crore to de­velop a hous­ing project at Karol Bagh in the cen­tral parts of Delhi, di­rec­tor, Harsh V Bansal, said, elab­o­rat­ing that the group is de­vel­op­ing this project in joint ven­ture with DCM Group. The land par­cel was ear­lier used by the DCM Group for hous­ing ac­com­mo­da­tion of work­ers in Delhi Cloth Mills.

TVS un­veils 14-storey lux­ury res­i­den­tial project

TVS Emer­ald has planned new res­i­den­tial project, TVS Emer­ald, the real es­tate arm of TVS Group, has an­nounced its new­est res­i­den­tial hous­ing project, Light­House, which will come up on PallavaramTho­raipakkam ra­dial road in south­ern fringes on the out­skirts of Chen­nai. The pro­posed 14-floor lux­ury project will com­prise 279 homes of 1, 2 and 3 BHK apart­ments wherein the builder will of­fer var­i­ous ameni­ties.

Ma­haMetro plans 13 re­alty projects along Nag­pur metro line

In a move that will al­ter the real es­tate scene in and around the Nag­pur city, the Ma­haMetro launch­ing 13 mega real es­tate projects. Out of the tar­geted projects, six have al­ready been sanc­tioned and the con­struc­tion work is set to start very shortly. These projects are spread­ing across the city as the Ma­haMetro is bank­ing on easy ac­ces­si­bil­ity of these projects for re­sponse from po­ten­tial cus­tomers. Ma­haMetro will build two tallest build­ings in the city — 25-storey tow­ers — op­po­site Yesh­want Sta­dium in Dhan­toli and Kas­tur­c­hand Park.

Bharti Re­alty plans ₹2,500cr mall near IGI air­port

Bharti Re­alty, which is a part of the Su­nil Mit­tal Group, is plan­ning to con­struct one of the biggest re­tail malls of NCR at Ae­roc­ity near IGI air­port in New Delhi with a leasable space of 2.5 mil­lion square feet, CEO of Bharti Re­alty, S K Sayal said that the com­pany al­ready taken 23 acres on lease from the Delhi In­ter­na­tional Air­port Pri­vate Lim­ited for the pur­pose. He said the mall is likely to be com­pleted by 2022.

ARE wins 18-storey high res­i­den­tial tower con­tract

The Chen­nai-based Ap­paswamy Real Es­tates has re­cently sealed ₹400 crore deal with True Value Homes (TVH), an­other city-based de­vel­oper, to de­velop 19-storey res­i­den­tial struc­ture at Kot­tur­pu­ram, claimed sources, adding that the deal had been con­cluded and Pi­ra­mal Fund would ad­vance over ₹200 crore to Ap­paswamy Real Es­tates to fund the up­com­ing project with a high-end res­i­den­tial project at the site.

ATIL floats bids for 15-acre re­alty project

Au­rangabad In­dus­trial Town­ship Lim­ited (AITL), a spe­cial pur­pose ve­hi­cle between the Ma­ha­rash­tra In­dus­trial De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion (MIDC) and the DMIC, has in­vited bids from re­puted de­vel­op­ers for AITLs hous­ing project at Auric. Shen­draBid­kin DMIC node is part of the Ded­i­cated Freight Cor­ri­dor (DFC) between Delhi and Mum­bai cov­er­ing 1,483 km and pass­ing through six states.

ATS re­alty launches ₹2,000 cr hous­ing ven­ture

The real es­tate firm ATS launched a new ven­ture HomeKraft to de­velop mid-in­come and af­ford­able hous­ing projects at an in­vest­ment of ₹2,000 crore over the next five years to build about 6,500 units across ma­jor cities. Af­ford­able hous­ing has gained an added mo­men­tum on the back of in­ter­est sub­sidy of­fered by the govern­ment and lower GST rates. HomeKraft will de­velop homes of size rang­ing from 950 sq.ft. to 1,600 sq.ft. where the size of the flat is lower than 1,600 sq.ft. and will be of­fered to cus­tomers, said chair­man and founder Ge­tam­ber Anand, who is also the chair­man of real­tors' body CREDAI.
