Railways unveils new tunnels in Arunachal
Indian Railways has decided to build a new railway line in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh at a height of 10,000 ft, and is meant to cut down the travel time to Tawang drastically. The existing road from Bhalukpung to Tawang is 285 km long, while the proposed railway line would be as long as 166 km only. Nearly 80 percent of the railway line will pass via tunnels as the lengthiest tunnel will be 29.48 km long.
GKC Projects bags ₹381 cr Brahmani River Bridge
The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded the second Brahmani River Bridge project to Hyderabad-based GKC Projects at an investment of ₹381.75 crore. The project in question, which is slated to be completed by November 2020, is a sixlane bridge with a total length of 29.1 km RO, NHAI said.
GHMC goes for ₹498 cr bridge project
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has recently decided to build 4.1 km-long bridge at an investment of ₹298.49 crore under the Strategic Road Development Plan The project, which has been touted as the longest four-lane bridge in the city would connect Owaisi Junction to Nalgonda crossroads and will ease traffic at Nalgonda X-Saidabad-IS Sadan-Owaisi Junction.
