Rail­ways un­veils new tun­nels in Arunachal

In­dian Rail­ways has de­cided to build a new rail­way line in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh at a height of 10,000 ft, and is meant to cut down the travel time to Tawang dras­ti­cally. The ex­ist­ing road from Bhalukpung to Tawang is 285 km long, while the pro­posed rail­way line would be as long as 166 km only. Nearly 80 per­cent of the rail­way line will pass via tun­nels as the length­i­est tun­nel will be 29.48 km long.

GKC Projects bags ₹381 cr Brah­mani River Bridge

The Na­tional High­way Au­thor­ity of In­dia (NHAI) has awarded the sec­ond Brah­mani River Bridge project to Hy­der­abad-based GKC Projects at an in­vest­ment of ₹381.75 crore. The project in ques­tion, which is slated to be com­pleted by Novem­ber 2020, is a sixlane bridge with a to­tal length of 29.1 km RO, NHAI said.

GHMC goes for ₹498 cr bridge project

The Greater Hy­der­abad Mu­nic­i­pal Cor­po­ra­tion (GHMC) has re­cently de­cided to build 4.1 km-long bridge at an in­vest­ment of ₹298.49 crore un­der the Strate­gic Road De­vel­op­ment Plan The project, which has been touted as the long­est four-lane bridge in the city would con­nect Owaisi Junc­tion to Nal­go­nda cross­roads and will ease traf­fic at Nal­go­nda X-Said­abad-IS Sadan-Owaisi Junc­tion.
