4th Edition of Intl’ Tradeshow on Building & Construction, Green Architecture & Woodworking concludes successfully in Dhaka
Futurex Trade Fair and Events (India) and ASK Trade & Exhibitions (Bangladesh), jointly organized the 4th edition of Bangladesh Buildcon, which was held at the International Conference Centre in Bashundhara, Dhaka. More than 200 companies from 10 countries (including Bangladesh) showcased their innovative products and the latest technology in the Building & Construction and Wood Working sectors to over 5500 business visitors during the three days of the tradeshow.
Bangaldesh Buildcon 2018 and the concurrently held Greenarch 2018 expo displayed new technologies, materials and solutions for architecture, building, construction and design. The key exhibiting segments were Architectural Hardware, Building Materials, MEP services, Ready Mix Concrete Equipment, Brick making Plants, Construction Machinery & Equipment, Sustainable Architecture, Woodworking Machinery, Furniture Hardware, Power Tools, Fittings and Fixtures, Laminates, Boards, Coatings, Abrasives & Adhesives.
Over 100 participating companies were from India’s construction and building products' industries, namely JCB, Kaushik Engineering, Hess, Unipave, Esquire, Fab India, Jaypee, Liftwell Hydraulic, Nilkanth Engineering, Maxmech, Fairmate Chemical, Arrow, Ashok Engineering, Apollo Carmix, Speedcrafts, Rotho, Atlas Technologies, Universal, Vishwakarma, Sri Parijatha, Venus, NOAH Equipment, KICH, HSIL, Balaji Action, Tata Bluescope, Pidilite, and many more.
Bangladesh is growing rapidly as it aspires to become the Middle-Income Economy by the year 2021. The country is manufacturing a sizeable amount of quality, world-class furniture. The domestic furniture market is growing at a brisk pace of around 20% a year. The ‘JAT Paints Presents Bangladesh WOOD International Expo 2018' initiative succeeded in its attempt to provide furniture manufacturers innovative designs, sophisticated machineries, and materials to grow the industry.
Seminars held during the three days saw presentations by eminent speakers on topics such as Alternative and Affordable Green Technology (presented by Md. Abu Sadeq, Former Director of HBRI and Dr. Toufiq M Seraj, Founder Managing Director of Sheltech). A conference on Green Architecture 2018 was presented by Ar. Luis Longhi Traverso of Longhi Architects, Peru, Prof. Shamsul Wares, Eminent Architect of Bangladesh, Dr. Cristian Suau, Studio POP, C.I.C, Scotland and Tai Lee Siang, Immediate Past Chair, World Green Building Council. Technical sessions were held on Affordable and Clean Energy, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, Sustainable Cities and Communities, and on Responsive Consumption and Production.
