Bangladesh Build­con: 4th Edi­tion of Intl' Tradeshow on Build­ing & Con­struc­tion, Green Ar­chi­tec­ture & Wood­work­ing con­cludes suc­cess­fully in Dhaka

4th Edi­tion of Intl’ Tradeshow on Build­ing & Con­struc­tion, Green Ar­chi­tec­ture & Wood­work­ing con­cludes suc­cess­fully in Dhaka


Fu­turex Trade Fair and Events (In­dia) and ASK Trade & Ex­hi­bi­tions (Bangladesh), jointly or­ga­nized the 4th edi­tion of Bangladesh Build­con, which was held at the In­ter­na­tional Con­fer­ence Cen­tre in Bashund­hara, Dhaka. More than 200 com­pa­nies from 10 coun­tries (in­clud­ing Bangladesh) show­cased their in­no­va­tive prod­ucts and the lat­est tech­nol­ogy in the Build­ing & Con­struc­tion and Wood Work­ing sec­tors to over 5500 busi­ness vis­i­tors dur­ing the three days of the tradeshow.

Ban­galdesh Build­con 2018 and the con­cur­rently held Greenarch 2018 expo dis­played new tech­nolo­gies, ma­te­ri­als and so­lu­tions for ar­chi­tec­ture, build­ing, con­struc­tion and de­sign. The key ex­hibit­ing seg­ments were Ar­chi­tec­tural Hard­ware, Build­ing Ma­te­ri­als, MEP ser­vices, Ready Mix Con­crete Equip­ment, Brick mak­ing Plants, Con­struc­tion Ma­chin­ery & Equip­ment, Sus­tain­able Ar­chi­tec­ture, Wood­work­ing Ma­chin­ery, Fur­ni­ture Hard­ware, Power Tools, Fit­tings and Fix­tures, Lam­i­nates, Boards, Coat­ings, Abra­sives & Ad­he­sives.

Over 100 par­tic­i­pat­ing com­pa­nies were from In­dia’s con­struc­tion and build­ing prod­ucts' in­dus­tries, namely JCB, Kaushik En­gi­neer­ing, Hess, Uni­pave, Esquire, Fab In­dia, Jaypee, Liftwell Hy­draulic, Nilka­nth En­gi­neer­ing, Maxmech, Fair­mate Chem­i­cal, Ar­row, Ashok En­gi­neer­ing, Apollo Carmix, Speed­crafts, Rotho, At­las Tech­nolo­gies, Uni­ver­sal, Vish­wakarma, Sri Par­i­jatha, Venus, NOAH Equip­ment, KICH, HSIL, Balaji Ac­tion, Tata Bluescope, Pidilite, and many more.

Bangladesh is grow­ing rapidly as it as­pires to be­come the Mid­dle-In­come Econ­omy by the year 2021. The coun­try is man­u­fac­tur­ing a size­able amount of qual­ity, world-class fur­ni­ture. The do­mes­tic fur­ni­ture mar­ket is grow­ing at a brisk pace of around 20% a year. The ‘JAT Paints Presents Bangladesh WOOD In­ter­na­tional Expo 2018' ini­tia­tive suc­ceeded in its at­tempt to pro­vide fur­ni­ture man­u­fac­tur­ers in­no­va­tive de­signs, so­phis­ti­cated ma­chiner­ies, and ma­te­ri­als to grow the in­dus­try.

Sem­i­nars held dur­ing the three days saw pre­sen­ta­tions by em­i­nent speak­ers on topics such as Al­ter­na­tive and Af­ford­able Green Tech­nol­ogy (pre­sented by Md. Abu Sadeq, For­mer Di­rec­tor of HBRI and Dr. Toufiq M Seraj, Founder Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor of Shel­tech). A con­fer­ence on Green Ar­chi­tec­ture 2018 was pre­sented by Ar. Luis Longhi Traverso of Longhi Ar­chi­tects, Peru, Prof. Shamsul Wares, Em­i­nent Ar­chi­tect of Bangladesh, Dr. Cris­tian Suau, Stu­dio POP, C.I.C, Scot­land and Tai Lee Siang, Im­me­di­ate Past Chair, World Green Build­ing Coun­cil. Tech­ni­cal ses­sions were held on Af­ford­able and Clean En­ergy, In­dus­try, In­no­va­tion and In­fra­struc­ture, Sus­tain­able Cities and Com­mu­ni­ties, and on Re­spon­sive Con­sump­tion and Pro­duc­tion.

Com­mented Tipu Sul­tan Bhuiyan, MD, ASK Trade & Ex­hi­bi­tions, “The in­ter­na­tional trade expo along with world-class sem­i­nars ad­dressed by ex­perts from across the globe, pro­vided a dou­ble bo­nanza for the vis­i­tors and par­tic­i­pants.”

Said Namit Gupta of Fu­turex Trade Fairs & Events, “With this edi­tion, Bangladesh Build­con and Bangladesh Wood have ce­mented their place as truly in­ter­na­tional tradeshows as they at­tracted a cross-sec­tion of the tar­get au­di­ence.”
