Debian and CENATIC join open source initiative

The Debian project, maintainers of one of the most popular Gnu/linux distributions, and CENATIC, the Spanish government’s competency centre for open source software, have joined the Open Source Initiative (OSI) under its af liate scheme. Now that we have the new OSI Board in place with two directors selected by the af liates, I hope that the pace of OSI’S evolution will increase and that the af liates will play an increasing role in devising the new structures and programmes that will form the heart of the new OSI, mentions an OSI blog post.
