Mozilla to launch Firefox OS in 2013

Google and Apple will have to face some competition in the smartphone arena, as the Mozilla Foundation is planning to launch its Firefox operating system devices in early 2013. Mozilla previously named the mobile platform as the Open Web Devices platform ( OWD), and now it is called the Firefox OS.

Alcatel One Touch and ZTE have been selected to make Firefox OS devices using Snapdragon chips from Qualcomm.
