An overview of OSI 2011

OSI 2011 was recognised as an event that celebrated the power of open source. Enthusiasts and industry professionals hailed the event as an ideal platform for interaction and the exchange of knowledge related to Linux and open source. Over 3,000 people attended the event last year, across the three days, which was a testimony to the fact that FOSS had strengthened its roots within the country.

The agenda was to bridge the gap between the industry and the community, and to promote the adoption and use of open source software among Indian businesses and developers. Over 70 talks were delivered by eminent national and international experts at OSI 2011.
