Snowlinux 4 ‘Frosty’ Linux OS version released

The developers of Debian-based Snowlinux have released their latest Linux distribution. This is Snowlinux 4 ‘Frosty’ and is based on Ubuntu 13.04, which comes with the MATE and Cinnamon desktop themes.

The latest release of the distro gets Cinnamon 1.8, which was introduced earlier this month with the release of Linux Mint 15 ‘Olivia’, which is dubbed as the most ambitious release till date. The desktop theme offers features such as a new screen locking application and a redesigned control centre. The other desktop theme on offer is MATE (version 1.6).

Snowlinux 4 has some new features of its own, a new theme called ‘Snowlinux Metal’ and it comes with Firefox 21. Snowlinux 4 ‘Frosty’ is available for download from the project’s servers and comes in ISO images for 32- and 64-bit systems.
