The process of installing a Web server is fairly simple on a MacLWindows system, since the LAMP stack has been pre-packaged as an installer file for these systems and appropriately renamed as WAMP (Windows) and MAMP (Mac OSu). fnstall the packaged installer containing PHP 5.4 and Apache 2.4 and run the application installed to start the server.
