Mageia 3 Linux distro launched
The developers of Mageia have released the third version of their Linux distribution, Mageia 3. Mageia was forked from Mandriva almost two-and-a-half years ago and according to its developers, this version is all grown up. Well, finally, Mageia 3 can be downloaded for desktops and servers.
More than 100 people from across the globe contributed in making Mageia 3 a reality. The list of features for this Linux distribution include kernel 3.8, GRUB as the default bootloader, sytemd 195, KDE 4.10.2, GNOME 3.6, Xfce 4.10, Libreoffice 4.0.3, and updates to R3M 4.11 and urpmi.
However, what stands out in this long list of features is Steam for Linux, which is now available in the repositories.
