The stable version of the CM 10.2 ROM, which is based on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, has been released by Cyanogen Inc. The company, which makes custom operating systems based on Google’s Android OS, wrote in a blog post, “With the release of CM 10.2.0, we end our foray into Android 4.3-land and planned releases based on that code. We will, of course, continue to provide hot-fixes, security patches and similar support, as needed. The device roster for this initial run includes all devices that received an RC1.

“The company will now be shifting its focus to the Android KitKat operating system. The CM 11 ROM will be based on Google’s new Android 4.4 KitKat OS. While nightlies for the CM 10.2 version will continue for now, the CM 10.1 will no longer be updated.”
