Amarok
Amarok is a part of the KDE project and is the default music player in Kubuntu. Mark Kretschmann started this project. The Amarok experience can be enhanced with custom scripts or by using scripts contributed by other developers.
Its first release was on June 23, 2003. Amarok has been developed in C++ using Qt (the toolkit for cross-platform application development). Its tagline, ‘Rediscover your Music’, is indeed true, considering its long list of features.
