Rhythmbox
Rhythmbox has been developed by the GNOME team. It is a music player designed for the GNOME desktop environment and is inspired by Apple’s iTunes. It is the default music player of Linux distros that have the GNOME desktop environment. Rhythmbox excels with its long list of available plugins.
Its first release was on August 18, 2001. It is written in C using the Gstreamer media framework.
