Google plans to remove QuickOffice from app stores
Google has announced the company’s future plans about Google Docs, Slides and Sheets. It has integrated the QuickOffice service in Google Docs now. So, there is no longer a need for the separate Google QuickOffice app. QuickOffice was acquired by Google in 2012. It served free document viewing and editing on Android and iOS for two years. Google has decided to discontinue this free service.
The firm has integrated QuickOffice into the Google Docs, Sheets and Slides app. The QuickOffice app will be removed from the Play Store and Apple’s App Store soon and users will not be able to see or install it. Existing users will be able to continue to use the old version of the app.
