VLC Media Player 3.0.0: One of the most anticipated apps of 2015
VLC Media Player is all set to launch version 3.0.0, which will have many new features and several improvements. This new edition is being eagerly awaited by millions of computer users across the globe. Some of the highlighted features of VLC 3.0.0 are support for Wayland, Chromecast output module, numerous Android improvements (like rotation, opaque and subpicture blending) and batch convert support.
The upcoming release will also support ARIB STD-B24 subtitles, offer HEVC hardware decoding, improvements in the MMAL decoder, a new BPG decoder, better support for MPEG-DASH and a video filter which will allow conversion between FPS rates. Besides these, there will be support for SystemD Journal, OpenGL as default video output on GNU/Linux and BSD operating systems, HDS (HTTP Dynamic Streaming) support, DVB-T2 support, Daala video support, HD-DVD .evo support, Opus in MPEG Transport Stream, WMAV and WMV support in MP4/MOV and support for Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite. There has been no word yet on when the final version will be available as not even a single RC has been released yet.
