Alpine Linux–a terminal-only Linux OS
An upgrade has been announced for Alpine Linux, which is a lightweight Linux distro mostly focused on security. Alpine Linux is based on musl libc and Busybox, which make up the terminal. The latest upgraded version is available for download now.
As mentioned on the official website, “The Alpine Linux project is pleased to announce the immediate availability of version 3.1.2 of its Alpine Linux operating system. This is a bug-fix release of the v3.1 musl based branch. This release is based on the 3.14.30 kernel which has some critical security fixes.” The changelog shows that the new upgrade has implemented Docker 1.4.1, PHP version 5.6.4, Wine version 1.7.35 and also the latest OpenSSL package (1.0.1k). If you find the distro complicated, you can refer to the documentation, shared by the developer of the OS on his website.
