Linux 3.19 kernel released

Finally, Linux 3.19 kernel is available officially. On the scheduled day of its release, February 8, 2015, Linux 3.19 kernel got tagged on Git. Surprising­ly, Linux founder Linus Torvalds didn’t issue any official announceme­nt along with the release.

The most important and notable features and changes in Linux 3.19 are as follows: The AMDKFD driver is getting launched, thereby making open source AMD HSA almost a reality. Intel’s next-generation Skylake graphics is supported now. DPM fan control is supported within the Radeon driver. NVIDIA GeForce 900 series driver is supported. The Linux 3.20 kernel is slated to come on board next.
