Microsoft partners with Android manufacturers
Microsoft has announced its partnership with Android giant Samsung for preinstalling its apps and services, like OneNote, Skype and OneDrive apps, on the new Samsung flagship brands, like the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones. Microsoft is doing everything it can to get Office into the hands of smartphone users, its priority being wider usage of Office. The firm is letting cellular customers run Office on their telephones and tablets for free, in the hope of ultimately luring them to purchase premium options available via an Office subscription service.
