Red Hat plans cloud based future with OpenStack Platform 8
After shifting its focus from Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat has now announced the general availability of Red Hat Cloud Suite and OpenStack Platform 8 to grow its presence in the emerging world of cloud solutions. The new offerings aim “…to help in bridging the gap between development and operations teams” right at the cloud computing scale. OpenStack isn’t new for Red Hat. But with the latest announcement, the open source software company will have an upgraded version of its scalable infrastructure along with all-new optimised storage and management capabilities. There will be Red Hat Ceph Storage and Red Hat CloudForms to natively enable the new features.
