Kali Linux is a De­bian-based Linux dis­tri­bu­tion de­signed for ad­vanced pen­e­tra­tion test­ing and se­cu­rity au­dit­ing. Kali con­tains sev­eral hun­dred tools that are geared to­wards var­i­ous in­for­ma­tion se­cu­rity tasks apart from pen­e­tra­tion test­ing, such as se­cu­rity re­search, com­puter foren­sics and re­verse engi­neer­ing. This fine re­lease con­tains all up­dated pack­ages and bug fixes since the 2017.3 re­lease last Novem­ber. Kali Linux 2018.1 has a shiny new 4.14.12 ker­nel. You can also find the ARM im­age in the oth­er_isos folder on the root of the DVD. These im­ages have a de­fault pass­word of ‘toor’ and may have pre-gen­er­ated SSH host keys. Bareos—Backup Ar­chiv­ing Re­cov­ery Open Sourced

Bareos is a 100 per cent open source fork of the backup project from bac­ula.org. The fork has been in de­vel­op­ment since late 2010, and it has a lot of new fea­tures. The Bareos-ap­pli­ance fea­tures a ready-to-use in­stal­la­tion in­clud­ing the Web UI. It is eas­i­est when used in­side Vir­tu­alBox via the ‘Im­port ap­pli­ance’ op­tion. Cur­rently, the ap­pli­ance con­tains Bareos in ver­sion 16.2.4., which has been in­cluded in the DVD un­der the oth­er_isos folder.
