Huawei launches new flagship smartphone model with three rear cameras

Multinatio­nal telecommun­ications equipment company, Huawei, has unveiled its latest smartphone – the P20 Pro. Being the company’s flagship smartphone model, the device comes with high-end specificat­ions.

It has a 15.49cm (6.1-inch) near bezel-less, full HD+ OLED display and a ‘notch’ at the top which includes a front-facing camera, sensors and receivers, apart from a fingerprin­t sensor at the bottom.

The smartphone is based on Android 8.1 Oreo and runs

EMUI 8.1.

The company claims this smartphone is the first to feature three rear cameras, which include a 20MP monochrome camera with a f/1.6 aperture, a 40MP RGB camera with a f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP telephoto camera with a f/2.4 aperture.

A user can also record slowmotion videos at 960 frames per second, and take selfies with the 24MP front-facing camera with a f/2.0 aperture. Powered by an octa-core Kirin 970 processor, the P20 Pro comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

The smartphone has a large 4000mAh battery to ensure long hours of usage, and comes with

3G, 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivi­ty.

Available in Twilight Black, Midnight Blue and Pink Gold, the Huawei P20 Pro can be purchased via online and retail stores.
