-

The Canon EOS 77D comes with DIGIC7 image processor along with 45-point all cross-type phase-detect-autofocus s and a 24.2-megapixel sensor. It was announced alongside e the canon T7i. Both Canon EOS T7i and EOS 77D share much in n common specs that may confuse the consumers.

Canon EOS 77D Features and Capabilities: The Canon EOS 77D shares the same design ergonomics as the Rebel T7i possesses apart from minor changes and enhancements. It comesmes with top-panel status LCD and the addition of a rear dial. Also, there is few relocation of rear buttons made in Canon EOS 77D to make room for the lock switch. This Multifunction lock switch h can prevent their settings from being changed by accidentally operating Main Dial or Quick control Dial or by inadvertently tapping on the touch screen. The mode dial button in EOS 77D comes with a center button that automatically locked the mode dial to prevent the accidentally changing the shooting mode. The ISO O range is 100 to 25600 which is very helpful to shoot in a dark.

The backlight illuminated LCD comes handy when the surrounding light is low and can be controlled by pressing the button to turn on or off the light. This status screen will help you to quickly see the shooting settings such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, battery level, memory card space available, and WiFi status.

There are two command dials both are at the right side one is located at the top of the camera just behind the shutter button and another is rear side just above the lock button. Each dial performs different operations, in manual mode, the top dial control the shutter speed while the rear dial controls the aperture. However, in the program mode, the top dial act as aperture priority or shutter priority controller and the back dial can be used to adjust exposure compensation. The preview LCD of the camera is a flip-out articulating display comes with good touch sensitivity. It offers 95% view coverage using its pentamirror with an approximate 0.51x magnification (35mm equivalent) and a 19mm eyepoint. The Frame size of Canon EOS 77D is approx. 22.3 x 14.9mm that means it is not a full frame coverage camera.

Performance: Overall the shooting experience with the Canon EOS77D is really good which is due to its fast DIGIC 7 processor. In JPEF mode it can shoot 6 frames per second when using a fast UHS-I card and up to 27 frames in RAW format. In our test, we used RAW+L, 17 frames in 0.5 seconds in high-speed continuous mode. It just took few seconds to write them on the card. If you want to capture some fast moving objects then the camera going to limit the shutter speed to 1/4000 of a second.

The EOS 77D uses a 45-point which done a pretty much good job at tracking and keeping subjects in focus. The Autofocus configurations it provides are single AF point selection, zone AF with nine zones, large zone AF mode with three groupings, and a fully automatic mode. The Canon EOS 77D offers nine shooting modes Basic Zone, a program (P), aperture-priority (Av), shutterpriority (Tv) and manual (M) shooting modes. There is no 4K, but you can shoot in 1080p at 50 frames per second but at a low bit rate of 60 Mbps. There is no 4K, but you can shoot in 1080p at 50 frames per second but at a low bit rate of 60 Mbps. If we talk about the battery backup then we are able to capture 440 (OVF) and 180 (Live View) shots.

Bottomline: Canon 77D has a real fast DIGIC 7 processor which is capable of shooting great quality images in various lighting conditions. Having the 45 focus points, it makes object tracking quite easy and keep the subject in focus. At this price, this is one of the best choices but doesn’t support 4K videos.
