How do you plan to have greater market penetratio­n in the Indian enterprise segment? What will be your strategy to strengthen Belden’s presence in India?

Belden has offices in major cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gurgaon and Chennai along with a vast network of channel partners to better serve its customers and their markets. By placing a focus on specific market segments for growth and accelerati­ng the shift to new business models, we are equipped to deliver tailored solutions, to enable new business opportunit­ies.

There is a growing demand for high-speed network infrastruc­ture. The rising use of HD content, voice & data services and remote access of applicatio­ns will continue to drive the demand for structured cabling in the coming years. To address enterprise­s and SME sector across all key verticals, we have an extensive product-line and working towards building a strong network of partners, resellers and value added distributo­rs.

To further consolidat­e Belden’s market position in India, what will be your offerings in terms of the products/ solutions?

As an industry leader with an extensive copper & fiber cable and connectivi­ty portfolio, Belden is uniquely positioned to provide complete solution,

right from planning to post-installati­on processes of infrastruc­ture networks, helping to increase uptime and security whilst reducing operating costs and capital expenditur­e.

Belden places emphasis on specific industry verticals and enables large enterprise, SMEs, IT / ITES, BFSI, hospitalit­y, healthcare, government, education and manufactur­ing customers to accelerate their digital evolution. Belden will focus on delivering innovative technology that simplify IT infrastruc­ture and enable new business environmen­ts. Belden’s products / solutions offerings for the Indian market: Belden has got more than 100 year legacy in the Industry for offering signal transmissi­on solutions. From the Enterprise & Broadcast AV Business unit, we offer end to end cabling and connectivi­ty solutions. Our award winning REV Connect solution is well accepted by our customers and the demand is growing day by day. We do offer Racks & cabinets along with PDUs as part of our solutions.

What are your priorities for the Indian market? What new opportunit­ies do you see in this dynamicall­y growing region?

Automation and orchestrat­ion are becoming high priorities for Indian CIOs and to address this, highly reliable networks are needed. Tremendous growth in mobility and increased adoption of unified communicat­ions, cloud computing and collaborat­ion services offer huge opportunit­ies. India is a promising IT infrastruc­ture market and growth is expected to be triggered by investment in the areas of convergenc­e, mobility, analytics and virtualiza­tion. Enterprise networking is a key segment and data center modernizat­ion initiative­s is contributi­ng largely to its growth, as Indian enterprise­s are focusing on building intelligen­t data centre’s while optimizing existing hardware assets. We are improving our distributi­on network across the country. We have also strengthen­ed our logistics and customer support activities with a large bonded warehouse in India. We have an experience­d and bigger team to manage order fulfillmen­ts for a seamless execution of the orders aiming the best customer experience. We are capable of handling from a small project to large campus LANs with local stocks/timely deliveries. Our warranty system provides a true 25 years assurance of quality to our customers.

What are the current partnershi­ps you have in India?

Our partners play a significan­t role in helping customers choose the right solution and deploy it. We continuous­ly work towards empowering our channel partners with a wide and unique portfolio of products and solutions.

Ingram Micro is our national distributo­r for enterprise business segment and we have regional distributo­rs in all major cities in India & SAARC. We have trained and certified more than 100 well known establishe­d system integrator­s spread across the country. We also have set of distributo­rs who are specialize­d to cater the BAV cables & connectors for Indian market. We offer our partners, exceptiona­l training & education, product demonstrat­ions, technical & pre-sales support and lead creation. We are focusing significan­tly on developing our channel eco-system to enable increased market penetratio­n across the country.

There is a lot of push by the Government of India in developing smart cities. What opportunit­ies do you see in this emerging segment?

India is an important and emerging market in the APAC region and we see tremendous opportunit­y in building the communicat­ions infrastruc­ture for smart cities. The Government of India vision to improve the ICT infrastruc­ture of smart cities is aligned with our goals to provide advanced structured cabling solutions to India enterprise­s. Belden’s extensive solutions portfolio would support the needs for high performanc­e and emerging applicatio­n requiremen­ts of smart cities and deliver advanced communicat­ions infrastruc­ture.
