Xerox has improved its ConnectKey technology to create a modern workplace that boosts the productivity. This enables users to get connected through a wide range of devices, mobile, and cloud connectivity. Additionally, Xerox expanding its apps’ library to improve functionality and usability of the device.
The ConnectKey looks like a tablet with a touchscreen that offers intuitive user experience. The gesture-based touchscreen let you control the operation and enables you to install the device in your existing or new network setup using the new installation wizards. There are plenty of cloud-hosted services, that lets you use your device to print and scan from anywhere.
It also adds multi-level protection for both documents and data. Meaning the machine is ready to guard against and eliminate emerging threats and meet or exceed regulatory compliance. It runs on a comprehensive Firmware Verification test, either at start-up or when activated by authorized users. Not only attacks, ConnectKey go beyond that and prevent intentional or unintentional transmission of critical data to unauthorized parties. The Xerox App gallery has plenty of applications to choose from. You can extend the capabilities of the Xerox machine and optimize the digital workflows. Additionally, it provides access to contact lists and frequently used locations, while apps available through the App Gallery allow users to download serverless apps like Print from Dropbox and Scan to Microsoft Office 365 directly from the user interface. The printer comes with two trays – one standard and one bypass tray. You can add 520 pages in a single tray and 100 sheets in bypass tray. Is’nt enough, add more trays in the printer.
Print and scan quality
We tested its printing capability, in our standard ISO test with 5% ink coverage, it printed 5 A4 pages in about 16 sec with the first page out in 8 seconds. While printing 100 pages, it took 4 min 5.23 secs. Using the cloud services, we got 1 photo page print in approx 1 min. The test included text pages, graphics pages and pages with mixed content for both black and white. The output quality is excellent and text looked sharp and detailed. The print quality of the image comes with good amount of details and sharpness.
The optical resolution of the scanner is 600 dpi (dots per inch is a unit of optical resolution). It scanned an A4 image in just 3 sec with a whole lot of details and vibrant colors. While scanning the A3 page it took around 5 sec only. The bunch of 25 pages, got scanned in just 24 sec, meaning less than one second for one page. The depth of output color is commendable and sharp. To copy any document it takes only 10 sec. And using the OCR, it was more than 85% accurate to convert the language.
