Solution Requirement
No matter how adept a company is at implementing solutions, the challenges are unique to the prevailing circumstances. The first and foremost challenge was that this was a special requirement a standard application couldn’t solve. The updates had to be real-time. As the case is for any large-scale event, there are always last-minute changes which had to be reflected on the paperless platform. Moreover, all the tablets, which were to be provided to all delegates, were sealed and it was not possible to manually create application store accounts and download anything to the tablets that were provided.
Solution Deployment
The paperless platform proposed was through a mobile Web application, i.e., a smart application that runs on the browser of a device. This solved a multitude of problems. It was also decided that the network would be open to personal devices only on the second day of the event as there could be practical issues like delegates not coming with the tablets or some possibly forgetting to charge it.
Solution Benefits
Once the Wi-Fi network was connected, all the user had to do was click on the icon and could view all the options that could possibly be needed during an event. Even if there were issues with the mobile connectivity, it was easy to sync the devices to Wi-Fi. This way no one was left to fend for themselves for the lack of a connectivity Foetron checked all the hardware beforehand, and in the eventuality of hardware failure there was back up. So there would be no time wasted or dilly- dallying about getting back to the participant.
