Duerkopp Adler Showcases Automatic Solutions at GTE
At GTE, Duerkopp Adler came up with a variety of solutions of the garment industry. Sebastian Kinnius ( Head Of Product Management Garment ) and Karin Kilian (Sales Consultant, Garment ) from the company shared their views on the Indian apparel industry and current market scenario.
“We feel that the biggest challenge for any company is to manage resources and have one piece flow; to that end, we have to offer more flexible and automatic technology,” said Sebastian Kinnius. “We are supporting our vision by using new technologies, programming and scanning materials, which is based on the flexible automation concept,” he added.
He also mentioned that the next challenge which needs to be taken care of is the Internet of Things(iot). “We are preparing our own brands for IOT; for instance, our new production monitoring system for the textile industry, QONDAC, is offering network solutions for suppliers with a control box and new control panel solutions along with support services and manufacturing process support,” he averred.
The company is thus working and improving its existing products range in terms of network or IOT together so that customers in India get one piece flow of information for its supply chain. “The answer is QONDAC to 4.0,” he iterated. He also informed that whatever new technology will come in will have control boxes which are able to support QONDAC and whoever is buying machinery or equipment from Duerkopp Adler will be fully equipped with this tool in a new era of production.
On the strategy of the company for the future Karin said, “Our strategy is simple; we have different brands and different segments, however, for different segments we have different partners which ensures smooth flow of all products and companies without a conflict of interest.”
“We will continue to offer India products that can improve output, productivity and quality. However, our target is not to reduce manpower because India has high population and the sector gives lot of employment,” asserted Karin.
