Dupont™ Brings Artistri® inks for Brilliant Results in DTG
Dupont™ Advanced Printing that brings technologies and products for printing and package printing was seen at Gartex. Dupont™ Artistri® inks are available in both pigment and dyebased formulations that combine Dupont™ proprietary pigment dispersion, polymer and ink formulation technology. Because they are formulated with the same dyes and pigments used in conventional textile printing, Artistri® inks offers brilliant colours, excellent fastness properties, and robust print reliability. “It improves wash fastness i.e. the number of wash the printed t –shirt can go through, it improves the hand feel, normally in direct to garment printing sometimes the colours crack, so the feel is not good and thirdly it enhances the colour saturation i.e. the brightness of the colour and the print is very attractive and that is what makes Du Pont different from its competitors,” informed Abhishek Drolia from the company.
“There is no competition for us which can provide good ink with high results in printing and runnability of machine which means reduced maintenance and higher output and efficiency when they run on Du Pont inks. Dupont™ Artistri® Brite P5003 is a fabric pre-treatment product for application onto dark coloured cotton
t-shirts that enable efficient and consistent printing combined with bright, wash resistant colour prints, while Artistri® P5010 is developed for use with white cotton and polyester shirts. The new Brite P5003 and P5010 pretreats for DTG not only make colours pop, but also hold them longer on the fabric with a vast improvement in wash fastness.
Challenges faced with printing on polyester has been resolved by Artistri® Brite P5010 pretreat has enabled
successful printing on white polyester t-shirts. In the Xite Roll To Roll space, with S2500 and S3500 launches,
Dupont™ further expands its broad portfolio to meet customer demands for product quality and deeper colours.
Du Pont plans to expand by introducing sublimation inks for the South Asian markets. Sharing response about the exhibition, Abhishek said, “We had been every excited from the beginning, we hoped to get a better response and we have got what we expected.”
