MIMAKI Dis­plays Com­plete Range in Tex­tile Print­ing

At the re­cently con­cluded ex­hi­bi­tion, Mimaki In­dia dis­played two types of ma­chines, TS300P-1800 which is a pa­per trans­fer ma­chine and TX 300P-1800B which is good for direct tex­tile print­ing. Direct-to-tex­tile Inkjet Printer makes pos­si­ble print­ing on sheer fab­ric and stretchy ma­te­ri­als. This 1.8-me­ter-wide printer is specif­i­cally de­signed to ad­dress the need in tex­tile and ap­parel in­dus­tries for print­ing on sheer fab­ric and stretchy ma­te­ri­als such as knits. TX300P-1800B of­fers max­i­mum print width: 1,880 mm (74.0”). On the other hand the TS300P-1800 de­liv­ers cost-ef­fec­tive print­ing while main­tain­ing high qual­ity and pro­duc­tiv­ity.

The Ja­panese group feels that there is a good scope of growth in ap­parel mar­ket of In­dia as now the com­pany deals in inks, soft­ware and post print­ing process equip­ment like coat­ings and steam also.

Mimaki ac­quired Rim­slow Global Pty. Ltd. of Aus­tralia, which man­u­fac­tures and sells pre- and post­pro­cess­ing equip­ment for dig­i­tal tex­tile print­ing. The com­pany is pro­vid­ing inks for cot­ton and polyester fab­rics. “The

gar­ment man­u­fac­tur­ers look for ma­chine sta­bil­ity when it comes to their pref­er­ences of buy­ing tex­tile ma­chines. The de­mand for fast fash­ion has led to in­crease in de­mand for print­ing not only in In­dia but all over the world,” said Daisuke Ya­mane, area Sales Man­ager (South) in­dia, Mimaki in­dia pvt Ltd. He also men­tioned that the tech­ni­cal sup­port is a very im­por­tant fac­tor for In­dian cus­tomers which they

look for be­fore buy­ing a ma­chine.

Mimaki has a com­plete range of ma­chines from en­try level to high and fast speed. Di­a­suke also thinks that to­day fully au­to­matic ma­chines are in de­mand. He in­formed that Mimaki is plan­ning to bring one more ma­chine in the mar­ket very soon. “The ex­hi­bi­tion has given us a good plat­form to show­case lat­est tech­nolo­gies, but more scale in terms of size needs to be achieved,” he con­cluded.
