Jindal Denims Churning High Volumes in Denims
Jindal Denims is a textile major group that offers denims in huge varieties and has the capacity to produce 144miliion metres per annum i.e. 12 million metres per month, (denim fabric). Speaking about the demand in market Nishant Giri, Sr. General Manager) from the company said, “Demand is good, however, in domestic market the consumption is quite high. We are now trying to tap the international markets like Vietnam, Cambodia aggressively.”
The company makes 3 million metres of bottom weights per month, 1 ½ metres of shirtings (printed), so overall capacity if calculated would be 15 million metres per month. The company’s design team is working on different types of yarn textures and is trying to come up with a new polyester yarn with soft feel. “The best part of this new product is that the process used to produce is completely sustainable,” he added.
The group believes that customers always look for something new and want a product which gives more sales, has a knitted look and textures in denim so
the company aims to offer all.
The company reported a good response at the exhibition.
