Perfect Sourcing - - Cover Story -

I don’t feel that the Govt. policies are fair and increasing import duties on the textiles from China will not impact India or its orders. As far the apparel exports coming back to growth in the FY 2018-19, I don’t think that it will happen because of the Govt. policies. The biggest challenge for the industry right now is that the imports have gone down not the exports. There is manufacturing of apparel but everyone is focused on creating a niche market so we are losing out on employment. Sourcing is not a problem as we are competitive enough. As far as the new product categories are concerned I don’t see any demand for new products. New countries that are opening doors for business opportunities are New Zealand, Australia and other European countries. Our company is a buying agent and we deal with clients in South America. In India we source some raw materials from all over India.
