To pro­mote “Make in In­dia a new tex­tile park was al­lot­ted in Ma­ha­ras­tra” to the tex­tile city of Hin­gang­hat in Wardha District un­der the new SITP scheme of 2012 - 2017. The park un­der the name of “Hin­gang­hat In­te­grate tex­tile park” is be­ing jointly pro­moted by Gi­ma­tex, Bha­gi­rath, Anoop Tex­tiles, Ele­con, and oth­ers who have come to­gether to form a Spe­cial Pur­pose Ve­hi­cle(spv). It is be­ing set up in an area with am­ple avail­abil­ity of cot­ton, polyester and other raw ma­te­rial so as to en­sure win-win sit­u­a­tion for en­trepreneurs and the farm­ers. The park will be de­vel­oped in 32 acres of land with an es­ti­mated in­vest­ment of Rs. 350 crores and em­ploy­ment gen­er­a­tion ca­pa­bil­ity of around 2,200 peo­ple.

PVT LTD has been of­fered to set up a gar­ment fac­tory at the newly de­vel­oped park. “We have re­cently in­stalled 250 ma­chines and have al­ready trained 300 women work­ers, our com­mer­cial pro­duc­tion would com­mence by Oc­to­ber 1st,” in­formed Dharmendra. he fur­ther added, “we will start with man­u­fac­tur­ing for do­mes­tic brands and once it is set­tled we will move to­wards ex­pan­sion and get into ex­ports as well,” he added.

The com­pany will be mak­ing men’s shirt, trousers and women’s tops and to at­tain high qual­ity stan­dards have in­stalled high tech ma­chin­ery for sewing, fin­ish­ing, fab­ric check­ing and other op­er­a­tions as well. “We are re­ly­ing more on Euro­pean tech­nol­ogy, in fact, for fin­ish­ing we have gone ahead with ma­chines from Ro­tondi,” said Dharmendra.

With the in­ten­tion to pro­vide more jobs and a ready mar­ket for Gi­ma­tex prod­ucts, both the Cen­tral and state gov­ern­ments have of­fered some ex­cit­ing schemes for the new tex­tile park. Since it is a clus­ter both do­mes­tic and for­eign com­pa­nies can set up units there. Com­mon in­fra­struc­ture, cap­i­tal sub­sidy on the in­vest­ment, power cost to be ap­prox­i­mately Rs. 4.5 per unit and many other schemes are be­ing of­fered to at­tract new in­vest­ments.

“We have planned to pro­duce 4000 pieces per day and 1,00,000 pieces per month,” he in­formed.
