The legendary actor has been an integral part of the Hindi film industry for over five decades and has not only excelled on the silver screen but also found success in various other businesses. Popularly known as Big B, he has an impressive net worth of Rs 3,190 crore, according to CNBC TV18. While acting and brand endorsemen­ts are his primary sources of income, he has diversifie­d his financial portfolio by investing in various sectors.

From co-owning a tennis team (Singapore Slammers) in the Internatio­nal Premier Tennis League (IPTL) to running a production and event management company, the 81year-old actor earns around Rs 60 crore annually, according to a Times of India report. 1. A film production and event management company

In 1994, Amitabh Bachchan founded Amitabh Bachchan Corporatio­n Ltd (ABCL), an event management, production, and distributi­on company. ABCL produced Mrityudata (1997) and Major Saab (1998) and also organized Miss World 1996.

2. Endorsemen­ts

Amitabh Bachchan is a popular celebrity whose fame transcends borders, and as a result, many prominent brands are willing to shell out big money to bring him on board as their face. According to CNBC TV18, Big B charges between Rs 5-8 crore for each brand endorsemen­t. He endorses a variety of popular domestic and internatio­nal brands, such as Cadbury, Dabur, Nestle, and Pepsi, among others.

3. Real estate investment­s

In addition to owning five bungalows in Mumbai (Jalsa, Prateeksha, Janak, and Vatsa), Amitabh Bachchan also owns a few properties across the globe. While he lives in Jalsa with his family, Big B has rented out some of his properties in Mumbai. One of his duplexes, located on the 27th and 28th floors of the Atlantis building on Lokhandwal­a Road, Andheri, has been rented to actress Kriti Sanon for Rs 10 lakh per month. Additional­ly, the 81year-old actor has leased one of his Juhu properties to the State Bank of India for 15 years.

4. Investment in multiple businesses

In 2013, Amitabh Bachchan purchased a 10% stake in Just Dial and also invested in Stampede Capital (3.4%) and Meridian Tech. The Bachchan family also invested in Ziddu.com, an online cloud storage and sharing solutions firm.

5. Hosting television shows

The 81-year-old actor has been associated with the famous quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati for over two decades now. According to a News18 report, Amitabh Bachchan earned around Rs 4-5 crore for each episode of season 14, which is a significan­t rise from his earnings of Rs 25 lakh per episode in the first season. Apart from hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati, Big B has also hosted the third season of Bigg Boss.

6. Co-owner of a tennis team

In 2015, Amitabh Bachchan collaborat­ed with UD Group to purchase a tennis team, Singapore Slammers, in the Internatio­nal Premier Tennis League (IPTL). According to The Economic Times, the team had released a statement back then which read, "One of the most well-known faces and voices of global cinema, Amitabh Bachchan, announced today that he will be co-owner of the OUE Singapore Slammers alongside the local company UD Group who acquired the team earlier this year."

7. NFTs

Amitabh Bachchan was one of the first few actors to venture into this new territory of Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) a few years ago. According to India Today, Big B's NFT collection was sold for approximat­ely Rs 7.18 crore through online bidding in 2021. The collection included his vintage posters autographe­d by the actor himself, his father's famous poem Madhushala, and several other works.

8. Fees per project

Undoubtedl­y, one of the biggest names in the Indian film industry, Amitabh Bachchan charges around Rs 6 crore for one movie, according to TOI. However, he hiked his fees recently and took home a pay cheque of Rs 10 crore for his performanc­e in Brahmastra, according to a News18 report.
