Cooper Corp. launches gensets un­der CPCB II norms

Cooper Cor­po­ra­tion, an en­gine ma­jor has launched gensets un­der the strin­gent emis­sion norms by CPCB II. The new emis­sion norms will come into ef­fect from April 1, 2014. The com­pany’s Eco­pack gensets rang­ing from 10 KVA to 200 KVA com­ply with the lat­est CPCB II emis­sion lim­its ap­plied by the Cen­tral Pol­lu­tion Con­trol Board for new diesel en­gines up to 800KVA. The Eco­pack genset is said to be lighter in weight, smaller in size and meets with US and Euro­pean emis­sion norms. The en­tire range of Eco­pack gensets goes up to 180 KVA pow­ered by 3, 4 and 6 cylin­der Cooper en­gines. Com­ment­ing on the new en­vi­ron­ment pro­tec­tion rules, Mr Far­rokh N. Cooper, Chair­man and Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor says, “This was a long over­due no­ti­fi­ca­tion and we wel­come the im­ple­men­ta­tion of th­ese norms, which will cer­tainly help the na­tion as re­duced pol­lu­tion, re­duce cost of med­i­cal care and thus will im­prove the health con­di­tion of the pop­u­la­tion and lead to good and healthy life to all In­di­ans.” Cooper Corp’s Eco­pack se­ries is In­dia’s first Euro IV, US EPA tier IV in­terim and CPCB II com­pli­ant set of gen­er­a­tors, fea­tures that make Cooper Corp’s Eco­pack the au­to­matic choice for en­vi­ron­ment-con­scious power con­sumers.
