In a typ­i­cal so­lar plant lay­out, which mostly use fixed mount­ing struc­tures, rows of so­lar mod­ules are mounted, at fixed tilt an­gles, while fac­ing a fixed an­gle of ori­en­ta­tion. Th­ese lay­outs are gen­er­ally op­ti­mised for that PV Plant ac­cord­ing to its lo­ca­tion. This helps to max­imise the to­tal an­nual in­ci­dent ir­ra­di­a­tion and to­tal an­nual en­ergy yield.
