Gamesa In­dia inks wind project in AP, MP

Gamesa Wind Tur­bines Pvt. Ltd. has signed a re­peat or­der of 80 MW wind power project with an emerg­ing in­de­pen­dent power pro­ducer. Un­der the con­tract, Gamesa would be sup­ply­ing in two places, 25 units of G97-2.0 MW tur­bines at Tag­gu­parthi in Andhra Pradesh and 15 units of G97-2.0 MW tur­bines at De­was in Mad­hya Pradesh. The com­mis­sion­ing is sched­uled to be com­pleted by March 2015. The com­pany will be re­spon­si­ble for the full scope of site devel­op­ment, sup­ply and com­mis­sion­ing of the tur­bines and op­er­a­tion and main­te­nance work. Ramesh Ky­mal, CMD, Gamesa In­dia, said, “We are de­lighted to re­ceive such a valu­able re­peat or­der from an emerg­ing IPP. It clearly proves our ex­per­tise and a strong pres­ence in the In­dian wind in­dus­try. We are con­fi­dent that our G97-2.0 MW will surely be able to max­imise re­turns on in­vest­ment for IPP’s.”
