NTPC to set up 4000 MW plant at Ra­m­a­gun­dam

NTPC will be set­ting up a 4000 MW power gen­er­a­tion plant at Ra­m­a­gun­dam ad­ja­cent to their ex­ist­ing units as an ex­pan­sion unit. The CM of Te­lan­gana, K Chan­drashekar Rao as­sured NTPC CMD, Dr Arup Roy Choudhury that the required coal link­age for NTPC plant will be taken up by Te­lan­gana gov­ern­ment with the gov­ern­ment of In­dia. Rao also said that the gov­ern­ment will un­der­take fill­ing the mines with ash. Work at the unit will com­mence im­me­di­ately and the first unit will be com­pleted within 39 months. Also it is in­formed that the nec­es­sary en­vi­ron­men­tal clear­ances will be ob­tained for es­tab­lish­ing the plant.
