Gamesa signs 90 MW wind project with Hero group

Gamesa has signed a 90 MW wind power project or­der with Hero Fu­ture En­er­gies (HFE). HFE is a new ven­ture of The Hero Group. The company caters to pro­vid­ing re­new­able power. Un­der this con­tract Gamesa will sup­ply 25 units of G97-2.0 MW tur­bines at Kav­i­tal site in Kar­nataka and 20 units of G97-2.0 MW tur­bines at Gunga site in Ra­jasthan. The com­mis­sion­ing is sched­uled for com­ple­tion by March 2015.

Ramesh Ky­mal, Gamesa In­dia, CMD, said, “The strate­gic decision from Hero Fu­ture En­er­gies to have wind en­ergy as the one of the main business ver­ti­cals along with so­lar, proves the im­por­tance of wind en­ergy in sat­is­fy­ing the en­ergy needs of our coun­try and calls for an ap­pre­ci­a­tion.”
